DBHeroes again certified for NEN 7510
In recent weeks, we have been subjected to a strict evaluation of our management system for information security in healthcare. The evaluation of the management system has taken place according to the certification regulations of TÜV Netherlands for the area of application: consultancy on and the implementation, management and monitoring of databases for (healthcare) clients. Consultancy and work in the field of GDPR and data governance. As a team, we are proud to have passed this NEN 7510 certification with flying colours.
NEN 7510 is the norm for information security for parties active in healthcare. These include ICT service providers, application developers and healthcare institutions. The norm covers the entire area of information security and is therefore not limited to technical specifications, but also gives direction to the organisation and human actions. With a NEN 7510 certificate, you can demonstrate your information security. You demonstrably comply with legal and regulatory requirements and you can demonstrate to patients and health insurers that patient data is in good hands. As of 1 January 2018, care organisations must comply with NEN 7510, NEN 7512 and NEN 7513 on the basis of the Decree on electronic data processing by care providers. The NEN 7512 and NEN 7513 are supplements to requirements from the NEN 7510 standard with regard to data exchange in healthcare and logging of actions in electronic patient files.
Christian Hageraats: "Everyone who works in a hospital agrees that the care and safety of the patient comes first. As a CIO you are, among other things, responsible for the security of all confidential patient information, such as within EHR. With our certification, we show that we can also advise on the application of the NEN 7510, 7512 and 7513 standards."
