This is what you will do

As a data engineer, you work for clients with large and complex information systems, for example at hospitals. You read up on and enjoy watching seminars on topics within data security. Are there developments in your field, such as machine learning? Then you apply them directly in your work. You will also work on these tasks:

  • You write and optimize SQL queries

  • You set up and improve ETL tooling

  • You will build information solutions such as data pipelines, data streams and data APIs

  • You use appropriate tools or scripts and with these you convert data into actionable information dashboards for DBHeroes and clients

  • You regularly spar with your client and its suppliers on IT matters

  • You oversee the complete IT landscape

  • You will independently perform management or project work at the customer's site

As an experienced data engineer, you find every challenge equally interesting and do everything you can to find the right solutions for customers. In addition, you have much more to offer:

  • You have at least college level

  • You have done relevant training or obtained certifications for the primary DBMS

  • You have experience with complex environments and projects

  • You have experience with DWH environments and ETL solutions

  • You know how to model

  • You have basic knowledge of DevOps, Azure and/or AWS and Windows and/or Linux

  • You have basic knowledge and experience with IT infrastructure. For example, of network, storage, virtualization and various operating systems

  • You have knowledge and experience with information security risks and measures and confidently propose improvements

  • You have no trouble speaking to clients in English and/or Dutch

  • You talk easily with everyone, whether it is your colleague, the client or his supplier

  • You handle data responsibly
